Calling all GCC & Levant designer-innovators: the second Audi Innovation Award in collaboration with Dubai Design Week is now open for submissions.
Audi Innovation Award
The competition for the second Audi Innovation Award is now open. The competition, led by Audi Middle East in partnership with Dubai Design Week, aims to empower regional designers while archiving intellectual progress in the region.
The purpose of the Audi Innovation Award is to invigorate design and technology thinking in the GCC and Levant, so as to facilitate significant positive change. Its goal is to provide a platform for the region for the development and exchange of ideas; to simultaneously support, mentor, and ultimately make room for the visionaries of tomorrow. The theme for 2016 was Alternative where the objective for designers was to offer concepts that integrate existing solutions into new uses, ranging from lifestyle, healthcare, mobility, education and urban public spaces.
Renowned for innovation research and international awards that celebrate extraordinary progress and idea leadership, Audi announced its first ‘Audi Innovation Award’ for the Middle East at Dubai Design Week in October 2016.
The judges of the Audi Innovation Award were selected to represent a diversity of sectors; they are designers and architects, people working in the automotive industry and those working in the public sector. As unique in skills and experience as they may be, they have one thing in common: the ways in which they have propelled innovation in and beyond their fields.
The first Audi Innovation Award of the region has set out to propel significant positive change, and they picked the right judges to do it.
